Steel Dynamics plans 4 new galv, paint lines
US minimill producer Steel Dynamics Inc is adding a total of four new value-added flat-roll lines to further leverage its soon-to-be-online Sinton, Texas, mill, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
The company will spend $225 million to add two new coating lines in the southern US to directly support Sinton. One line will be a 300,000 short ton/year galvanizing line and the second a 240,000 st/y paint line.
