Steel Dynamics enters 2021 strong despite 2020 dip
US minimill steel producer Steel Dynamics Inc saw its net income slip in 2020 compared with 2019, primarily due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and margin compression.
The company earned $551 million during the year on sales of $9.6 billion, down from 2019’s net income of $671m on sales of $10.5 billion.
