Steel Dynamics completes Columbia City expansion
Steel Dynamics Inc’s new billet welder and spooler line at its Columbia City, Indiana, facility are now fully online, Kallanish learns from Italian equipment supplier Danieli.
Danieli says that the new equipment provides Steel Dynamics with higher overall efficiency, productivity and yield. As a result, the company expects to save as much as $20-22/short ton during operation.
