US stainless surcharges to fall again in October
US austenitic and ferritic stainless surcharges will continue to trend down in October, Kallanish understands.
Austenitic type 304 stainless surcharges are slated to fall from $0.47/lb in September to $0.42/lb in October, according to price lists published by AK Steel, Allegheny Technologies Inc, Outokumpu and North American stainless. In August, 304 surcharges stood at $0.52/lb.
