Chinese special steelmakers reduce bar output in July-August
Chinese special steel plants are reaching a peak period of maintenance in July-August, according to market sources. Ten steel mills will shut down some of their blast furnaces, electric arc furnaces and rolling lines, with a combined expected reduction in bar output of 266,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes.
