Spanish steel industry demands energy price reduction
High electricity prices are strongly impacting the sector, warns local steel association Unesid president Bernardo Velázquez.
The steel sector is concerned that its activity worsened in 2019, while in the first five months of this year it was sharply impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak, registering a record low, Velázquez said at a Madrid meeting this week monitored by Kallanish.
