Spain's Global Steel Wire considers temporary layoffs
Steelmaker and wire supplier Global Steel Wire (GSW), part of Celsa Group, is considering to implement temporary layoffs next year, Kallanish learns from the company.
The company announced to unions that it will start negotiations with workers over setting up a temporary layoff scheme for its mill in northern Spain. This will be to increase flexibility at the unit due to the uncertainties in the automotive sector.
