Spanish cement demand to continue growing, supporting steel longs
Spanish cement demand is expected to grow by 3-6% year-on-year in 2019, according to the latest data released by Spain’s national association of cement suppliers, Oficemen.
The growth is set to further support the recovery in demand for steel light longs for the construction sector. Nevertheless, the significant slowing in the growth trend compared with 2017 and 2018 is seen as a concern for many observers.
