Spanish automotive industry recovers in May
Spain’s automotive sector saw production recover in May, although only slightly. Exports, however, remain depressed, as a result of the Russia-Ukraine war impact and the global semiconductor shortage, Kallanish notes.
Output in May was 183,830 units, an increase of 0.5% versus the same month last year. Five-month production amounted to 902,680 vehicles, down 12.6% over January-May last year.
