Spain's steel imports reach record level in 2018
European Union safeguard measures on steel imports are not having the desired effect in Spain. Imports here increased year-on-year in 2018, mainly as a result of trade diversion due to US 232 tariffs, says local steelmakers’ association Unesid in its latest report monitored by Kallanish.
