Spanish automotive production exceeds expectations in 2016
The production of vehicles in Spain last year surpassed expectation, according to a statement by Anfac, the local carmakers' association. During recent months however some signals have pointed to a possible slowdown in growth this year.
The country’s factories produced 2.88 million units in 2016, up over 5.5% y-o-y and above the association’s expectation of 2.8m. This is the highest annual production level since 2007, Kallanish notes.
