Southeast Europe output bucks global decline in August
Southeast Europe (SEE) crude steel production increased in August, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 452,400 tonnes, up by 47.6% year-on-year.
Output was also higher on July, when SEE production was 323,151t, up by 2.5% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
January-August regional production increased by 18.7% on-year to 3.21 million tonnes.
