South American crude steel production rises, Mexican slows

South America saw crude steel production rise month-on-month in November, while Mexico’s output fell, albeit marginally, Kallanish notes.  According to the latest worldsteel report, South American output totalled 3.94 million tonnes during the month, 3.7% more over October and 3.5% higher year-on-year. 11-month production amounted to 42.13mt, up by 20.7% y-o-y.
