South America, Mexico crude steel output recovers

South American and Mexican crude steel production increased month-on-month in August, according to worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. South American output totalled 3.96 million tonnes during the month, 3.5% more over July and 17.2% higher year-on-year. Eight-month production amounted to 30.26mt, up by 24.93% y-o-y.
