Some Turkish mills further decrease domestic scrap prices
Some Turkish mills have further decreased their domestic scrap buying prices since last week but most have kept their prices unchanged, Kallanish notes.
Turkish mills’ imported scrap purchases remain halted, as mills are hoping to see an improvement in rebar sales. While mills are seen targeting to buy premium HMS 1&2 at $435/tonne cfr Turkey, suppliers are seen resisting these levels given high dock prices and freight rates.
