Turkish mills increase domestic prices after scrap-import spree
Turkish steelmakers have turned to the domestic and short-sea markets for their scrap requirements after halting their deep-sea scrap purchases this week.
Some mills, specifically ones that are currently interested in buying from the domestic market, have increased their domestic scrap buying prices. Others have either decreased or kept their domestic scrap prices stable, Kallanish notes.
