SMS wins contract for new Philippine sections mill
Germany’s SMS Group has bagged an order from Philippine longs producer SteelAsia Manufacturing Corporation, the technology supplier tells Kallanish.
SteelAsia has ordered a new small section mill to be installed in Calaca in Batangas province. The mill, which will be designed for an annual capacity of 500,000 tons, will be the SteelAsia’s seventh rolling mill, SMS says.
The small section mill will be laid out for a production rate of 100 tons…
