SMS upgrades converter for SěAH in South Korea
German technology supplier SMS tells Kallanish that South Korean stainless steelmaker SěAH CSS has reduced its maintenance costs following modernisation work on an AOD converter by SMS.
The 100-ton (sic) AOD converter at the SěAH CSS stainless steel mill in Changwon, South Korea, was successfully re-commissioned in March 2018, after installation of an electro-hydraulic torque retainer by the SMS group.
