SMS to upgrade Celsa Barcelona caster
Germany's SMS Concast is to upgrade Spanish longs supplier Celsa’s caster at its plant in Barcelona, Kallanish learns from an announcement by the plant engineering specialist.
Celsa has agreed a contract with SMS to upgrade its existing beam blank caster. The six-strand machine has 1 million tonnes of annual casting capacity and is to be provided with a seventh strand in order to increase production.
