SMS supplies mill/billet caster to Aceros Arequipa
SMS group is to supply a six-strand billet caster and mechatronic equipment for a new steel mill for the Peruvian steelmaker Aceros Arequipa mill in Pisco, Kallanish learns from the German plant engineering specialist.
According to SMS, the new plant is designed for the annual production of 1.2 million tonnes billets with sections of 130mm, 160mm and 180mm.
