SMS supplies new desulphurisation plant to Ilva
Italian steelmaker Ilva has ordered two new hot metal desulphurisation plants from the SMS group, the German steel industry plant and equipment supplier tells Kallanish. The under-fire Italian steelmaker continues to try and improve its much-criticised environmental performance.
The new plants are for use in steelworks Nos 1 and 2 AT Taranto, SMS confirms and will be designed according to the latest emission control standards.
