SMS bags Taiwan converter supply contract
German-headquartered technology supplier SMS tells Kallanish that it has won an order from Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) for three new converters.
The contract is to supply three 160-ton converters for CSC’s No. 1 steel making plant in Kaohsiung. The aim of the upgrade is to improve the availability of the converters and reduce the need for maintenance.
