SMS bags Chinese rebar mill upgrade order
Germany’s SMS tells Kallanish that it has won an order from Chinese steel producer Fuzhou Wuhang to upgrade an existing rebar mill.
The new line will be designed for an annual production of 700,000 tons (sic) of rebar in diameters ranging between 10-18mm at a maximum rolling speed of 45 metres/second. There will also be the possibility to produce rounds in the 14-20mm range, the technology supplier says.
