SMA lauds US ITC rebar decision
The Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA) is praising a decision by the US International Trade Commision (ITC) to uphold its findings of injury due to Mexican rebar imports, Kallanish reports.
The ITC’s injury determination, made in September 2014, was challenged primarily on the grounds of cumulative consideration, or lumping together import statistics from similar countries-of-origin, time periods and products.
