Slab, rebar prop up Iranian production
Iranian crude steel output rose 3% on-year in the three months through 20 June, or first quarter of the Iranian calendar year, to 7.14 million tonnes, although billet output was down, says the Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA).
Billet production declined -3% in the period to 4.12mt, although slab output was up 12% to 3.02mt.
