Siemens to increase Qatar Steel rebar mill output
Siemen’s will install an Integrated Drive System (IDS) at Qatar Steel’s 700,000 tonnes/year RM1 rebar mill that will raise annual production by 3.7% and reduce troubleshooting time by up to -20%.
The IDS, a first for the Middle East, allows the entire drive system in a manufacturing chain to be seamlessly integrated, Siemens says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
