Shougang orders Primetals electrical steel line
China’s Shougang has ordered from Primetals a new cold rolling mill for its Qian’an steelworks, the technology supplier tells Kallanish. The mill will be used mainly to produce high-grade electrical steels for electric vehicles.
Primetals will supply and install the equipment and oversee construction of the plant. The plant is due to commission in mid-2022 at the Shougang Qian’an Electric Vehicle Electrical Steel Co.
