Shagang to source pellet feed from Australia's Hawsons
China’s Shagang International has signed a non-binding letter of intent (LOI) to purchase 2.5 million tonnes/year of direct reduction-grade iron ore pellet feed from Australia’s Hawsons Iron Project.
The feed will be consumed by Shagang’s steelworks at the port city of Zhangjiagang near Shanghai, Kallanish learns from Hawsons’ majority owner Carpentaria Exploration.
