Shagang regains confidence in HRC
Major Chinese steelmaker Shagang has decided to add CNY 50/tonne ($7.6/t) to its hot rolled coil offers for December, after leaving them unchanged last month, Kallanish notes.
Q235B 5.5x1500mm HRC offers were raised to CNY 4,350/t, which is about CNY 105/t higher than spot prices in Shanghai at the end of November. That gap has declined from a month earlier. Meanwhile, SPHC 4x1250mm HRC offers were lifted to CNY 4,380/t.
