Sepiddasht Steel ships first DRI cargo
Iran’s Sepiddasht Steel has finally commissioned its first-phase direct reduced iron plant, nine years after it began construction. The first shipment of DRI has been sent to merchant semi-product maker Khouzestan Steel.
The second-phase slab plant is scheduled for launch at the end of 2018, Kallanish learns from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organisation (Imidro).
