Sentiment turns bearish in US scrap market
Market players remained optimistic that US shredded scrap prices will rise further in December but were disappointed with the start of December trading last week. Some mills entered the market to buy all grades of scrap but at sideways prices compared to November, despite expectations of a $20/tonne hike.
