Semiconductor shortages decrease Russian car production
Carmakers in Russia continued to decrease output in October, according to national statistical service Rosstat.
About 100,000 passenger cars were produced during the month, down by 29.5% on-year, Kallanish notes. However, in January-October over 1.1 million cars were assembled, up 13.1% on-year.
Production of trucks in October amounted to 17,000 units, up by 20.6% on-year, and in January-October output reached 129,000 trucks, gaining 40.8% on-year.
