Semiconductors continue to hit Russian car output
Carmakers in Russia continued to decrease production in August, according to national statistical service Rosstat.
About 78,000 passenger cars were produced during the month, down by 2.4% on-year, Kallanish notes.
However, in January-August almost 916,000 cars were assembled, up 29.8% on-year.
Production of trucks in August amounted to 12,000 units, up by 8.7% on-year, and in January-August output reached 112,000 trucks, gaining 44.6% on-year.
