Section 232 remedies would 'devastate' US end-users: Irepas
The US Section 232 investigation recommendations, if implemented, would “… devastate” many US steel end-user industries, says the International Rebar Exporters and Producers Association (Irepas).
The US Department of Commerce’s recommendations, which include a 24% blanket tariff on all steel products from all countries, supplemented with a 53% import duty on 12 countries, were revealed last week (see Kallanish 19 February).
