SDI eyes south Texas for new mill
A south Texas county has paved the way for Steel Dynamics Inc to build its new $1.8 million, 3m short ton year flat-rolled mill within its borders, Kallanish understands.
The commissioners of San Patricio County voted Monday to create a 2,500-acre reinvestment zone near Sinton, Texas. Though Steel Dynamics did not immediately respond to requests for comment, local media noted that representatives for the company were present at the commissioner’s meeting.
