SDI to add $140m galvanizing line at Columbus
Steel Dynamics Inc is adding a $140 million galvanizing line to its Columbus, Mississippi, facility, Kallanish understands.
The new line will have an annual capacity of 400,000 short tons, with the ability to produce gauges ranging from 0.013-0.160-inches, up to 72-inches wide. The line is slated to become operational in mid-2020, and will boost the company's total coating capacity to 4.2 million st.
