Scrap prices soar in East Asia
US bulk scrap prices have jumped up in East Asia, in line with rising scrap in international markets and bullish sentiment, Kallanish notes. A recent US HMS scrap deal in South Korea concluded at some $45/tonne higher than a similar booking around three weeks before.
