Scrap prices continue rising in Turkey
Price increases continue in the Turkish market for both imported and domestic scrap.
Turkish mills have concluded fresh imported scrap bookings this week. One mill has bought UK-origin HMS 80:20 at $341.5/tonne cfr Turkey. The EU-origin scrap cargo that was offered at average $345/t on Tuesday has been sold to a mill in southern Turkey at $341/t cfr. The HMS 75:25 component of the EU cargo is reported at $336-337/t cfr.
