Scrap, DRI present challenges to decarbonisation: Griffiths
Increased scrap use in steelmaking is being touted as a simple means of reducing carbon emissions, but it has its challenges, while direct reduced iron-electric arc furnace steelmaking will require mammoth electricity and improved DR-grade pellet supply.
