Italian scrap demand firms despite price adjustment: Assofermet
Scrap demand in the Italian market remains firm, despite the price adjustment seen since mid-January, Kallanish learns from the latest report issued by the local steel association Assofermet.
Scrap prices in Italy have seen a correction due to the decrease of Turkish prices (see Kallanish 26 January). New arisings (E8) have lost some €10/tonne ($12.43/t) from the peak witnessed at the beginning of January.
