Ukraine scrap shortage reaches 15% of requirement in May

Ukrainian steel companies have suffered from scrap shortages for five months. In May, the shortfall amounted to 57,000 tonnes, equating to 15% of industry needs. This led again to shutdowns of steelmaking enterprises, Kallanish learns from Interpipe. Scrap exports in the five months totalled 104,000t.
