Schuler supplies tk automotive press, cuts Germany jobs
Automotive forge thyssenkrupp Gerlach has commissioned Schuler group to supply a Farina forging press, Kallanish learns from Schuler.
At 16,000 tonnes of concentrated press force, a weight of 1,700t and height of ten meters, the press is one of the world's largest mechanical systems of its kind, according to Schuler. Starting in 2021, the machine will form truck front axles and crankshafts at tk Gerlach’s Homburg site.
