Schnitzer sees profits improving in 2017
Steel recycler and longs producer Schnitzer Steel Industries expects internal productivity measures and an improving construction industry to buoy its profits over the course of the year, Kallanish learns from the company’s fiscal second quarter earnings review.
In the quarter ended 28 February, Schnitzer recorded a net profit of $11.04 million on sales of $382.08m, up from fiscal Q2 2016’s loss of $41.25m on sales of $289.08m.
