Schnitzer sees May-quarter loss in earnings
Oregon-based metals recycler and longs producer Schnitzer Steel Industries reported a net loss in its fiscal-third-quarter earnings, Kallanish reports.
In the quarter ended 31 May, Schnitzer recorded a net loss of $5 million on sales of $403m. In the February quarter Schnitzer experienced a net gain of $4.5m on sales of $439m. In the November-2019 quarter it reported a net loss of $6.6m on sales of $405m.
