Schnitzer outlines long-term US environmental goals
US recycler and longs producer Schnitzer Steel has set its 2020 environmental goals, including key strategic goals involving the use of carbon-free electricity, Kallanish reports.
Schnitzer plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its recycling operations by 25% by the end of fiscal 2025, based on the emissions recorded in 2019.
Additionally, the company plans to use at least 90% carbon-free electricity by the same target date.
