Schnitzer improves profit year-on-year in second quarter
US metals recycler and longs producer Schnitzer Steel witnessed an uptick in its fiscal second quarter earnings on the back of increased demand and pricing, Kallanish reports.
In the quarter ended 28 February, Schnitzer earned $41 million on $559m in total revenues. In fiscal Q2 2017, the company earned $11m on $382m.
