Schmolz + Bickenbach looks at overseas expansion
Special steels producer Schmolz+Bickenbach group might take on new representation overseas in the near future, ceo Clemens Iller tells Kallanish.
For its speciality long products, sales offices are under consideration for Asia as well as South America. In Asia, the countries would be Japan and China, where S+B already has three sites.
China is also home of the biggest producer of stainless long steels, Tsingshan, which serves only the domestic market.
