S+B sees no signs of demand recovery
Schmolz+Bickenbach’s expectations of a gradual normalisation of demand in the course of the second quarter and into the second half of the year have not materialised, the maker of SBQ steels says.
“The automotive industry was hit hardest, with demand remaining at a persistently low level. There are still no clear signs of an acceleration in demand,” ceo Clemens Iller said during a conference call attended by Kallanish.
