S+B plans earlier closure of Ascometal Les Dunes
Ascometal Les Dunes rolling mill near Dunkirk in France will be closed down earlier than originally projected, its parent group Schmolz+Bickenbach said during a conference call.
The move has been decided upon due to low demand, and has already been talked through with the unions, S+B’s ceo, Clemens Iller said during the call monitored by Kallanish. The closure is now projected for the first or second quarter 2020.
