Saudi scrap, billet market needs price guidance
The Saudi Arabian billet and scrap market requires guidance in the form of the upcoming July scrap buying price announcement from the benchmark mill, Hadeed, Kallanish notes.
Domestic scrap prices remain firm and supply is tight. In Jeddah, HMS 80:20 is trading at SAR 1,600-1,620/tonne ($427-432) and in Madinah at SAR 1,640/t, all on a delivered basis against cash or weekly payment.
